Looking for an Unlicensed Mate
We are seeking qualified and enthusiastic applicants for an immediate opening aboard the Skipjack Sigsbee (c. 1901).
In the spring and fall, Sigsbee runs educational day programs in Baltimore and on the Chesapeake Bay. Occasional overnight camping programs complete the schedule.
During the summer, she offers 9-day sailing/camping programs on the Bay. These programs focus on sail training and ecological studies of the Chesapeake.
Applicants should have strong sailing background and enthusiasm to work with students of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. This is not a live-aboard position, although off-site housing may be available aboard the museum ship USCGC Taney.
