The Mid-Atlantic Program Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to play a leadership role in the land conservation community of the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. The successful candidate will demonstrate a record of accomplishment in building and sustaining close, working relationships with diverse stakeholders in the context of complex environmental and cultural issues. Primary responsibilities include developing, coordinating and managing programs to build strong land trusts and enhance their capacity to achieve their missions more effectively. As part of a team with the division director, field program colleagues and external consultants, s/he will develop, deliver and evaluate a suite of tools and resources to land trusts, such as training programs, one-on-one technical coaching and assistance, and targeted capacity building or program development grants. The program manager supports, convenes, facilitates, and sustains land conservation coalitions. In addition, s/he will work closely with other Alliance staff on issue-specific project teams and support the work of land trust coalitions in their efforts to organize regionally and statewide.
