This professional position is located within the Division of Energy and Environment’s Department of Climate and Energy. This Department is largely responsible for administering projects and programs for our growing Climate and Energy (C&E) functions that meet the County Executive’s initiatives for 1) the Climate and Energy Action Plan for internal operations and community-wide, to include greenhouse gas emissions inventories, GHG mitigation plans, Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment, and Resilience Plan; 2) Clean Fleet and Electric Vehicle Infrastructure; 3) Building Energy Performance; and 4) Clean Energy Procurement.

This professional position will be responsible for planning and implementing key community-wide climate and energy programs and projects, including climate and energy action planning and household energy savings programs. This position will also support the Division’s growing sustainability and equity programs and environmental justice initiatives. Key functions will include project and contracts management, grants administration, community outreach, and internal and external stakeholder engagement. Supervisions is received from the Climate and Energy Manager.
