ShoreRivers seeks a seasonal Field Educator to enthusiastically deliver environmental education field trips and classroom lessons to elementary and high school students, inspiring them to care about their local environment and empowering them to make a positive impact. The ideal applicant is an energetic team player who respects children, adults, and the environment equally. This position offers $18 per hour from September 25th – November 22nd with a flexible 25-hour work week. There will be the potential to be rehired for the spring season from March to June.
The Field Educator reports to the Education Programs Manager and works within the Education Department to provide programming at schools and locations throughout Dorchester, Talbot, Queen Anne’s, and Kent counties. The primary field trip location is University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science Horn Point Laboratory in Cambridge. The employee must be flexible to travel frequently between counties and work within typical school day hours of 7:30 am and 3:00 pm.
