Maryland Environmental Service (MES) is looking for a Senior Environmental Specialist/Lead Environmental Specialist to work at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Environmental Review Program (ERP) office in Annapolis, MD. Assignments include environmental and public lands reviews for Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) projects. The selected candidate may perform site field visits state-wide and work in various office locations including: the Millersville office of MES, the MD Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in Annapolis MD, or various MDOT offices throughout the State. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), environmental permitting, and an ability to understand and evaluate how transportation construction projects impact natural resources.
Estimated Pay Range:
$48,192 – $92,768

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science, engineering, ecology or a related field from an accredited college or university plus a minimum of three to five years of experience in environmental science, regulations, engineering or management, at least two years of which must have included responsibility managing environmental projects and supervising environmental professional and technical staff. Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 5 points.
