The Eastern Region Association of Forest and Nature Schools (ERAFANS) is seeking a self-motivated intern to help market programs and build our brand. Our non-profit association offers support, services and inspiration to nature-based early childhood programs up and down the East coast. We are based in the Towson/Glen Arm, MD area. The marketing intern will help establish communications with our growing following and plays a crucial role to ERAFANS in the first year of our operations.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate must:
•be a degree-seeking student in Marketing, Mass Communications, or closely related field
•have completed intro level courses in marketing and design
•be proficient in using online and social media forms of communication (EX. FB, Pinterest, Instagram)
•can type
•be familiar with or willing to learn database entry for contacts (EX. Excel)
•have reliable access to a PC computer (work is done remotely with check-in calls on scheduled days)
•be familiar with website and blog platforms or willing to learn how to work with ours
•have an eager attitude and open mind about marketing strategies
•believe in the mission of our organization
TIME COMMITMENT
We require 4-5 hours per week on two weekly scheduled days;
Days are flexible; we will work with your schedule;
Commitment is for one semester. Fall, Spring, and Summer interns are accepted on a rolling basis.
COMPENSATION
This is an excellent opportunity to learn how a small non-profit builds marketing from the ground up. You will gain exposure to many facets of marketing with practical, real world applications. We will provide a reference for future employment and provide a stipend upon completion of semester.
