The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC), a Baltimore County-based land trust and watershed restoration organization, is currently seeking candidates for a Watershed Restoration intern to assist with its Clear Creeks Project. Gain valuable skills and knowledge in watershed restoration. Participate in rain barrel workshops, rain garden workshops, Bayscape workshops, tree plantings, stream clean-ups and more!
Duties: Assist Project leaders during tree plantings, tree maintenance, trail maintenance and invasive plant removal, installations of rain barrels, stream clean ups, and garden installations. Assist with administrative tasks, conducting surveys at workshops, and other tasks as needed.
Time commitment: One year internship. Must provide average of 8.5 hours per week. Position starts September 2019 through June 2020. Saturday work hours 9 am – 2 pm expected during project workshops and GVC events.
Compensation: $10.10 per hour.
