Calling all Prince George’s County residents!

Chesapeake Bay Foundation cordially invites you to participate in our Prince George’s County VoiCeS (Volunteers for Chesapeake Stewards) Spring 2024 cohort. (For more information about CBF’s VoiCeS program, visit our web page.)

Join us for an exciting educational program to learn about

  • Chesapeake Bay science and history,
  • data and progress on restoring health of Bay fisheries,
  • the role of small but mighty oysters,
  • the intersection of farms and water quality, and
  • litigation efforts to restore the Bay.

You will also have the opportunity to attend in-person field trips (optional to attend, but encouraged for all participants) while connecting with your neighbors. Sites will explore the concepts being learned throughout the program, such as a tour of a regenerative farm and water excursion activities. There is also an optional program launch on April 13 and graduation ceremony on May 18.

Educational sessions will take place on four consecutive Thursdays from 6-8 pm (April 18-May 9), virtually on Zoom, to allow for greatest flexibility when joining. Virtual connection details will be sent to participants ahead of program start date. Participants are expected to attend at least three of the four sessions.
