Calling all Baltimore City residents!

Chesapeake Bay Foundation cordially invites you to participate in our Baltimore VoiCeS (Volunteers for Chesapeake Stewards) fall 2023 cohort, taking place on six consecutive Wednesdays, October 4 through November 8 via Zoom.

Join us for an online six-week program to learn about Chesapeake Bay science, air and water quality, green infrastructure, increasing access to nature, transit equity, and more, while meeting neighbors who are passionate about environmental conservation. Our goal is to engage in dialogue with Baltimore City residents about topics that are important to your community, while also sharing information from local leaders. Confirmed speakers include staff from the Baltimore Office of Sustainability, Baltimore Transit Equity Coalition, Baltimore Farm Alliance, Baltimore Tree Trust, Clean Water Action, Blue Water Baltimore, the Baltimore Banner, Maryland League of Conservation Voters, and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

Educational sessions will take place on six consecutive Wednesdays from 6-8 pm, virtually, to allow for greatest flexibility when joining. Virtual connection details will be sent to participants ahead of program start date. Participants are expected to attend at least five of the six sessions.

We will also offer in-person field trips (optional to attend, but encouraged for all participants) to sites that will explore the concepts being learned throughout the program, such as a boat excursion through the Baltimore Harbor and a toxic tour of East Baltimore.

Registration is open until Tuesday October 3rd. Please feel free to share with anyone you know that might be interested!
